  22. Your screen saver program has been installed into the Windows 
  23. Desktop of the Control Panel.  Accessing your screen saver is 
  24. easy, and requires three steps as follows:
  25.  
  26.   I.   Load the Control Panel
  27.   II.  Run the Desktop option
  28.   III. Select your screen saver
  29.

  31. I.   Load the Control Panel

  33. The Control Panel is generally found in the MAIN group of your 
  34. Program Manager.  To get to the Control Panel icon, double click 
  35. the MAIN group icon.  Execute the Control Panel by double clicking
  36. the Control Panel icon.

  38. If you cannot find the MAIN group or the Control Panel icon, you 
  39. can run the Control Panel from the File Manager by double clicking
  40. CONTROL.EXE in your main Windows directory (usually called 
  41. WINDOWS).

  44. II.  Run the Desktop option

  46. To run the Desktop option of the Control Panel, double click the
  47. Desktop icon in the Control Panel.

  50. III. Select your screen saver

  52. Use the "Screen Saver" area of your Desktop screen to select your 
  53. screen saver.  The screen saver will be listed as "Northern Lights."
  54. You may use the Test button to preview your screen saver, and
  55. the Setup button to assign a password and activate / deactivate
  56. your mouse.

  65. 4. Double click Display
  66. 5. Click on the Tab that says "Screen Saver"

  71. A NOTE ON SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  74. This screen saver program is written to work with any system 
  75. running Microsoft Windows 3.1(TM) or Windows 95(TM).  For best quality 
  76. it is suggested that you set your video display to at least 256 colors,
  77. with 64K being the best resolution (it will work under 16 colors
  78. but you may see a grainy quality to photos).

  88. Double click the MAIN Program Group.  Then double click the
  89. WINDOWS SETUP icon.

  91. If you cannot find the MAIN group or the Control Panel icon, you 
  92. can run the Control Panel from the File Manager by double 
  93. clicking SETUP.EXE in your main Windows directory (usually called 
  94. WINDOWS).

  96. Click once on OPTIONS.  Click once on CHANGE SYSTEM SETTINGS.  A
  97. drop down menu box will appear.  Click once on the down arrow on 
  98. the right of DISPLAY.  There will be a drop down box that has 
  99. display options.  Choose the display option that you need.  Click
  100. OK.  The system will ask you where the driver is located.  If you
  101. do not know, We suggest that you call you dealer, but you
  102. should either have the drivers already installed or they will
  103. most likely be on a disk that came with you system or video card. 
  104. At this point Windows asks if you would like to restart Windows.
  105. Restarting Windows will allow the changes you made to take effect.

  112. 2. Click Settings
  113. 3. Click Control Panel
  114. 4. Double click Display
  115. 5. Click on the Tab that says "Settings"
  116. 6. Under the drop down box called "Color Palette" (towards bottom left
  117.    of box) choose either "256 color," "high color (16 bit)" or "true
  118.    color (24 bit)," depending on the available choices.

  121. A NOTE ON UNINSTALLING SCREEN SAVER
  122. ***********************************

  124. You can uninstall the screen saver very easily by deleting the 
  125. WILDLIFE directory of all its contents.  However, there are some 
  126. other files that are added to your Windows directory upon 
  127. installation that you must also delete.  They are "PGX.INI,"
  128. "NORT3356.INI," and "NORT3356.SCR."  Deleting these files will give you
  129. more hard disk space and is unnecessary if the rest of files are deleted.

  131. If you ever decide to reinstall, you can do so by following the
  132. initial installation procedures.

  135. USING IMAGES AS WALLPAPER
  136. *************************

  138. You can use any one of the images on this CD as wallpaper. The images
  139. are labelled IMG01-IMG42 corresponding to the photo number. You can
  140. find these images as bitmaps in the WALLPAPR folder. In order to use 
  141. an image as wallpaper, you will need to copy the image file to the
  142. C:\WINDOWS directory.
